If fitting a mortice lock, it should always be backed up with a latch lock on your front door, this is so that you can close your door and it will automatically latch. It is a good form of practise to fit a British Standard Dead Latching rim lock to your front door, as these cannot be slipped. if fitting together they can be keyed alike in order that they can be opened with one key, this is done by fitting a euro profile dead lock, as shown. The locks shown are Egress locks, which means they can be fitted to multi tenant front doors, they cannot be locked from the inside.  For domestic front doors, key plus key locks can be fitted.  Whatever lock is fitted our Lock Fitters Carterton Service will undertake it for you at a fair and reasonable price.
